PLAYING GUIDE:
Popscene divides the music making process into entertainment (represented by stars) and artistry (represented by hearts). As in real life, popular music is more likely to shoot up the charts and draw fans - but without substance, the success may be short-lived. Each of the games many artists has the following attributes that influence this process:
- POPULARITY is the artists ability to draw fans to entertaining content.
- REPUTATION is their ability to draw fans to artistic content.
- PERFORMANCE is their ability to perform entertaining songs live.
- TALENT is their ability to perform artistic songs live.
- PRODUCTION is their ability to compose entertaining music.
- WRITING is their ability to compose artistic music.
- HAPPINESS is the pleasure they currently get from their work.
- ATTITUDE indicates how likely they are to either contribute or cause trouble.
Each week, depending on the size of your team and their collective attitude, new songs may be recorded. Each member of the team contributes their score to a new song, and whoever scores the highest will be credited with making it. Members who are dedicated backstage staff will contribute twice instead of once - increasing the chances of a good song being written.
Once songs exist, it is the on-stage performers who must bring it to life. As with writing, each band member on stage contributes their score and the highest determines how well the song was received in each category. This time, it is the "frontman" who gets to contribute twice instead of once - so consider who is at the forefront.
The overall rating for a show is the average of all the songs performed - albeit slightly more generous so that perfection is not required. This is also true of album reviews. A 5-star performance may consist of consistent 4-star contributions. Reviews are where your performances feed back into the stats that produced them, because each attribute will rise or fall to reflect what just happened.
When booking venues, you must consider how much it will cost versus how much you are likely to recoup. Tickets are sold at $5 per song so it depends how long your set is. You will receive a percentage of this revenue, and must then use that to pay your employees and any other expenses. Singles are sold at $1 each whereas albums are sold at $1 per song for a maximum of $10. If you have a week of inactivity, you may find that you make a loss because of the expenses of your lifestyle (which reflects your wealth).

I am like really addicted to it ^_^ but what Ill wish is like more opportunitys. Something like, ad campaign to boost your sales, to make it more realistic etc.

Please could you make the singles charts a top 100 instead of a top 50 and If my song does not chart in the top ten I will not know the songs chart position, please fix that so I will know what number my song charts. Please put a year end chart for the most successful songs, albums, artists, bands and labels. Please can you also enable us to put what genre we like for our songs and also put a top 100 albums chart. Please can you also enable us to have interviews and perform at award shows and give more clothing options. Please update the game.

I like this game a lot. Im a music producer that loves the music industry, so it caters to me.
Still, some bugs and problems need to be fixed.
Sometimes when a cutscene occurs, right after it, the screen goes white and freezes, so I have to force quit the game.
Now on gameplay, once I release an album on a major label, the expenses should be reset once I drop a single from the second project. In real life, once you start a new album, the budget is reset for that project. The way the game is setup as of now, its means that I have to release a full album as soon as possible to make a full profit every time, like around 3 to 4 albums to make a profit. We only have a 10 project limit, and in real life, antistrophe will release an album every year to 3 to make maximum profit off his singles. I hope this review helped you guys out.

when I play and I get to the end the a person comes from the game and it freezes plz fix
Idk what this trash attempt of a flop simulator this was but 9/10 the app wouldnt even open, just a white screen after the logo. Also the app can be confusing at times and its too glitchy for you to get too invested into, bc if as soon as youre about to get that #1 single, the app crashes and deletes all your data. Do. Not. Download. Til. Updated.
At first it seemed promising, even if the poor graphics and bad control threw me off a bit. But as you delve into the game, it becomes tedious and repetitive, and frankly, unrewarding. I could immediately tell it was a work of an amateur or a developer who still hasnt, well, developed. Also, the lack of instructions hindered me and I had to resort to looking up everything online, which is annoying when Im in mid-game and Im trying to understand the basics and mechanics. Fix these issues and Ill consider revising my review and re-downloading this. But for now, I would not recommend anyone, except for Mat Dickie fans, to download this game.
Great Game but You should update/add new characters every year. We should have an option to start a rivalry with another character and get the chance to do a diss song about them. (Question). Can we become CEO of a record label. If not there should be a scenario where the original CEO dies or quits <----- just a suggestion giving ideas just in case its not possible for us.
